The All-Inclusive Ice Experience
When you hire us for a Maine Guided Ice Fishing Trip, we handle the heavy lifting. We arrive early to drill the holes, set the traps (tip-ups), and scout for the best location.
What We Provide:
- Warm Shelters: Perfect for warming up between flags.
- Lunch: There is nothing like enjoying a meal on the frozen lake.
- The Gear: We supply the traps, bait (live shiners/smelt), jigging rods, and Augers.
- Instruction: New to the sport? We teach you how to set a hook, handle a fish, and read the ice safety.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. Anyone 16 years or older needs a valid Maine Fishing License. You can purchase this easily online via the Maine Dept of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife (MOSES).
What should I wear?
Layering is key. We recommend a moisture-wicking base layer, a fleece mid-layer, and a windproof/waterproof outer shell. Waterproof insulated boots are the most important item—wet feet end the day early! Don't worry, if you get cold, the warm shack is always ready.
Can we keep the fish?
Absolutely. We follow all Maine bag limits. If you wish to keep your catch for dinner, your guide will fillet and bag it for you at the end of the day.
Book Your Winter Adventure
The ice season is short, and weekend dates fill up fast (January – March). Don't miss your chance to yell "FLAG UP!" with us this winter.
