Common Questions
What does the remote camp moose hunt cost?
It is $6,500 per hunt, which covers the permittee and the sub-permittee. The hunt is available to those two hunters only.
Where does this hunt take place?
Zone 4, the big industrial timber country around Jackman. It is vast, lightly pressured ground with the clear cuts, bogs and cut lines that hold mature bulls, and it is far enough in that a spike camp is the honest way to hunt it.
What is included?
Remote spike camp accommodation in comfortable wall tents, all meals and snacks, Registered Maine Guides, pre-season scouting of active bulls and wallows, calling and raking, and field dressing and extraction. Butcher fees, taxidermy, gate fees and your Maine licence and moose permit are not included.
My permit is for a different zone. Can you still guide me?
Very likely. We guide moose across Zones 4, 7, 8, 9 and 14, so get in touch with the zone printed on your permit and we will put together the right hunt for the country you drew.
How soon should I get in touch?
As soon as the lottery results are posted in June. Our moose weeks fill immediately once tags come out, and if you are holding a Zone 4 permit this is the hunt to ask about early.
